Being Me:  Week 44 - In the end we only regret the chance we did not take

October theme: We can't become what we want by remaining what we are


 There will always be things in life we regret. Chances we did not take, time we did not spend. But the biggest lesson of regret is the insight we gain for the future. To know next time we can/will make a different decision that has the potential to change our lives.

Every year I decide on a word that will define my year. A word that has the potential to lead my life in a new direction. The process begins in October as I toss out words in search of something that resonates with my goals for the coming year, the chances I plan to take, the changes I hope to make.

This year my word was PURPOSE and I stayed true to my vision throughout the year, living life with purpose.

In previous years words like BE, JOY, THRIVE, FOCUS, CHALLENGE, LIGHT  followed me through the year, while others faded quickly. But regardless of the outcome, the process of choosing a word  is an opportunity to invite change in your life, and bring focus to the future.

Taking chances and making choices are the small steps that build the life we want to achieve. With each fork in the road, we make decisions that change us. Discover a word that defines your year, uncovers change, and see the future differently.

  • September - Sometimes we can learn and study & know, and sometimes we have to believe, trust and hope

  5. Hope means your ready to see the good in tomorrow
  • October - We can't become what we want by remaining what we are
  1. Do the work if you want change
  2. A mind stretched can never go back
  3. Healthier is not just what your eating, but what you think and say
  4. In the end we only regret the chance we did not take
  • November - Small seeds of gratitude will provide a harvest of hope
  • December - Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of hope

 

 Mission Statement:  I will improve my overall health and wellness, use kindness and inspiration with a vision that creates  a community of giving and in doing so achieve my purpose in this life.
