Being Me: Week 24 - Believe in others

June Theme: Believe you can and your halfway there


Not only do we need to believe in ourselves, but we also need someone to believe in us. They can sometimes provide that tipping point to move us closer to our goals and help us realize our own potential.

I have been blessed with a world of amazing friends, and within them all I know they believe in me during every step of my journey. Knowing that can often be enough motivation to get me to the next step. But a little encouragement always helps.

When my son Ryan died I was blessed to have many friends that stood by to encourage me, regardless of how uncertain my journey with grief would be. They believed in me when I had nothing left to believe in. 

And as the years went by I noticed the boost I received when facing athletic challenges. Kathy could motivate me through the toughest runs, and as we pushed one another to dig for our best we grew stronger in the process.

In 2014 when we competed in the warrior dash, there were so many obstacles I was instantly overwhelmed. My thoughts thinking impossible where hers provided the assuredness that I could and I would conquer any barrier.

 

We are halfway through 2019, isn't it time you started believing in yourself and cheering on those around you, you never know the difference you are making.

  • December - Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of hope

 

 Mission Statement:  I will improve my overall health and wellness, use kindness and inspiration with a vision that creates  a community of giving and in doing so achieve my purpose in this life.
