Being Me: Week 40

September 29, 2019

"Once you choose hope anything's possible." ~Christopher Reeve

Being Me:  Week 40 - Hope means you're ready to see the good in tomorrow

September Theme: Sometimes we can learn and study & know, and sometimes we have to believe, trust and hope

We all need hope...

  • Hope is the power to believe anything is possible
  • The thing that keeps you going when your mind and body want to give up
  • Hope is a feeling of optimism that something will happen

Hope changes the way we see ourselves, giving us a tomorrow to believe in when things are rough, or the comfort in knowing there is calm ahead.

I remember after Ryan died, there was no thought of hope for tomorrow, let alone a future. I could not imagine a going on without him. But somehow, day by day and step by step I learned to live again, eventually allowing joy and hope to return in my life.

Of course I would prefer a life with Ryan, but that was not a choice of mine to make. My choice was to keep living, uncover joy and believe in hope again.

No matter what you may be going through, I believe hope in the future will help get you through.

We will always have trials to face, as we learn and grow, but losing hope changes our perspective of the future.
