Labor Day weekend we went away for a couple of days and every time we do that it is the perfect time to have my brother in law come over and do a project on the house.  Plus its an awesome surprise to come home to something new.This project was scheduled for when we went to Disney, but the lights didn't arrive in time so we had to put it off until now.

Jill and I are back at it again for team up thursday.  As we follow along with the prompts from Mental Inventory.  
This weeks prompt was WORK
I chose to go to the place I occasionally work.  The business that my husband owns and runs and the equipment that fills the lot.  Jill chose what represents the work she has done all her life, caring for children.  I love how the same theme can be so...

and that's just what we did for the Labor day weekend.  
It seems owning your own business means that you work there every possible day available, according to my husband.  So if I want him to get away from work I have to make plans to get away from the house.  He ALWAYS thanks me later too!
We went up to Lake Chautauqua in New York, a place my girlfriend had vacationed at earlier in the summer....

So much to do, so much to post!
Spent the weekend away at Chautauqua lake and had a blast!  Although one of our days it rained on and off that didn't stop us from having fun.  In fact it was the day I took several of my favorite pictures of the weekend.

So here is my lesson from day 1 of Shimelle's class. It was about patience... I had a day that required patience and at the end of the day I went over to the farm up the road. This farmer was an example of patience as he is out there day and night working at that farm. With a giant smile on his face he went off to work on the farm and left me to walk around and take pictures.

 

Well finally I got my camera back and Jill and I are back at it!  We decided we are going to follow along with the Mental Inventory prompts, and this weeks was selective focus.  Jill took this adorable picture of her daughter while I went over to the farm up the hill and took some pictures at the end of the day.  I'm so thrilled to be back to being creative with my camera again!

Then why not use some wise old owls to number your pages!  Ah yes, last night I got 30 owls made with my new Stampin up punch and just in time as today is the first day of class!
 And I will finally be picking up my camera from the repair shop later today!  Woot woot!

Have you ever taken a class by Shimelle?  I have taken several and one of my favorite things about her classes, besides the cool ideas and great PDF files is that once you take a course you are automatically invited back each time the class is going on to take it again!
