What brought you JOY - Week 17

April 29, 2017

"All great changes are preceded by chaos." ~Deepak Chopra

My attempt to sit within the rubble, to remain mindful while tents of dust moved past on their own journey was futile. "This was not joy," I thought, "why do I dream up with these ideas, these projects, these messes?" I knew it would be better once finished, I knew I had to forge through the chaotic moments in order to reap the benefits, another dawning of life's teachings that somehow with the grace of time delivers joy.

But while I sit here among the veil of dust and destruction, wishing my way through the muddled parts of this remodel, history provides the unfolding of transformations, that slow process that leads to our awakening, yet still, I struggle within the chaos.

But finally, once I decide to sit amidst the rubble a treasure of information is provided, shaping the mess into a message, whether a  remodeling project or through the instructions of life, a repetition of growth reveals the rainbow after a storm that somehow I only understand once I arrive on the other side, each time moving towards the joy in the process that unfolds in many different ways.

Looking back at what brought joy...
