This is by far my favorite season of the year and with working/shopping at Treasured Friends for so many years, I've got quite the fall collection to decorate with.
So I finally dug out all the totes and started playing yesterday.  It seems to take hours to find a home for everything that I have and needless to say, I'm still not done.

And with fall comes the season of caterpillars - When...

I finished reading The other Boleyn girl last night and I loved it!  It's such a weird feeling when you finish a good book.  It's like you can't wait to finish it but a let down when your done.
The funny thing is I would have never picked this book up on my own, but after hearing so many rave reviews I had to check it out and needless to say I was hooked by the first page!  I haven't been that...

and we had a blast!  First off we picked up my mom and headed over to Houlihans for lunch.  By the time we got there we were starving but just after finishing our soup we were already full!  Once we left there we went to check out some stores in the mall so that Chelsea could pick up a few things.
We were cracking up trying on hats and luckily I carry my camera pretty much everywhere I go! To...

    a much needed relaxing weekend!
We went camping this weekend with family, what a perfect weather weekend for camping!  It was a different group from which we usually camp but I knew from the moment I got out of my car, when Joel's cousin had me cracking up that it was going to be a good weekend!  Although I have to say it still was an adjustment for us all not having Chelsea with us.

Had a party last night and enjoyed the company of many friends.  We shared lots of laughs and I got a look back into my childhood when talking with a friend who is married to the brother of one of my JR High crushes and knew the boy that is affectionately remembered as "my first kiss" - I don't even want to type how many years ago that was...
When there were just a few of us left I called Chel and...

It's been another emotional week and yesterday's dinner sure did help.  We went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in Crocker Park in Joe's memory.  It was nice to relax and visit for a bit and remember Joe.  My mom and I shared some childhood memories as we were driving there.
Since one of Joe's favorite desserts was ice-cream and our entire family, including Joe are HUGE coffee drinkers, we...

Its hard to believe that today marks 5 years since losing my brother.  I remember that day in the hospital as if it was yesterday...

My brother Joe and I were the two middle kids. Both on the quiet side, compared to our other siblings and easy going.  We always got a long great as children and were great friends as adults. Playing with Fisher-price little people is one...

    came and went quickly...
But at least Chelsea came home for a little while on Sunday.  We had lunch, shared some tears, shopping and lots of laughing!  I love this relationship we have!  We got Chelsea her Uggs, and they looked so cute on her - but I'll have to wait on mine.  She needs them more for walking the campus during the winter months.
I'm trying to learn to deal with her being gone...
