I have seen people make mini books (which of course I still want to try) and gift card holders and I thought what better to do for my sister's birthday than a gift card holder with a starbucks sleeve.  Two things she will love.  Plus I used Karen Russell's paper which she has been in love with since we took Karen's class in Columbus last July!

Today is my sister Deb's birthday!

slowly around here, between my recovery from this blasted cold and the work that's getting done in the family room, everything is moving at a slow pace!
I have been living on Motrin and Cold-eez for the last 5 days with today being the first day I didn't take anything.  The family room project is actually at a standstill until next Tuesday. 
Which I guess looking on the bright side probably...

Praying Mantis
At Christmas Joel and Zach found a cocoon on our Christmas tree.  They decided to put it in one of Zach's creature keepers.  Well apparently last night it hatched and we have 100's of Praying Mantis
