go to Michigan!
Well it wasn't that last minute... we talked about it on Monday, made a few phone calls and 7am this morning we were on our way to Brighton Michigan to visit two great friends and two great stores.
Our first stop was at one of our favorite scrapbook stores, and especially since we don't have any stores in Medina any more, this is always a treat.

Then it was off to our FAVORITE...

I got the fiskars threading water punch today on a quick trip to Target, the 2nd day in a row that I visited Target?  Seems I'm always forgetting something when I go shopping so we were just running in to grab a couple things. 
Quickly I snuck down the scrap book isle and there it was... only one though because believe me if there was more, I would have gotten them!

In the last few days I learned how to add my signature to my blog here I learned how to use my bind it all better than I knew before just by taking a class at Archiver's I learned that Chelsea is going to NEW YORK CITY with the school in a week because of someone dropping out at the last minute. I learned how to drive out to Kent State University with only two calls to hubby...lol I learned that you...

I spent a good part of the weekend playing with my kits. Yesterday and today I worked on my SEI mother book from the project kit.
One of the things that inspired me today to start another mini was thinking about stories that my dad either shared with me, stories shared about my dad or just lessons and memories that I have. 
It started when we visited with my aunt last week, although I wasn't...

I heard this song this morning on our way out of Eat N Park and it stuck with me.  It reminded me of my childhood so I had to come home and search it out.  How many of you remember this song?  I think it was popular in 1975??
I might have to find some of my childhood pictures and scrap about some of these songs.

My brother in law came over first thing yesterday morning and started working on our front porch.  It is in desperate need of some TLC and lots of paint!  While he was over we discussed some of the other projects we have on the list to get completed.

from my Work in Progress project kit.  So quick and fun to make!  I just loved this SEI paper and the letter stickers.  The album itself I did some pages on the front of each matchbook page, some on the back and some on the inside.  Then I used Staz-on to do any of the stamping and inking of the edges of the acrylic. 
Binding it all together with my bind it all and I love how easy the pages...

This morning before leaving for work I couldn't find the dog?  After walking in and out of a couple rooms I found him alright... he and the cat?
 
 
 
 
Then when I got home this evening we took the dog for a walk - its just so beautiful out and he loves the outdoors... just like a kid!

Tomorrow my mom, sister and I are going to take the acrylic album class up at Archivers then...
