With Ben interning in Washington DC this semester, we decided to have a little going away dinner for him. We surprised him by telling him it was a birthday party for my friends son, which happened to be the next night.
Unfortunately bad weather also decided to arrive that night, so a few of the people couldn't make it. I still made favors, (which Chelsea and I made sure we did not use made in China...

I don't know what it is... it seems whenever I look at a kit and coordinating supplies my thoughts instantly go to creating a mini!
Just the other day I went over Trish's to pick up my kit and walked right past to the board that showed all these adorable cards. I didn't know yet who I was making all the cards for, but I knew I needed that kit!

Recently we celebrated our Treasured Friends Christmas. Sometimes I have my gift for the exchange  ready before Christmas, and sometimes its something I pick up after Christmas. This year I did a little of both... but when shopping I realized I couldn't add anything made in China, so I had to be a little more specific in my search.

I've started back to school, both online and in the classroom, and while I do well in the classroom, those online classes seem to fall on the back burner.

We were lucky enough to get to attend a wedding on New Years Eve. Even luckier that it was my cousin and we got to see her so happy and in love! The wedding was beautiful, we had a hotel for the evening and had a blast at the reception.
Chelsea and I had gone shopping a few weeks before and found my dress. It was perfect and I loved it and now need another occasion to wear it!

I quit!

My running goal for 2011 was to reach 1000 miles, and when I did, I decided I should try and make it to 1100 for 2011, but with a week left in the year and 24 miles short, I got sick. At first I was more disappointed about not being able to run than being sick. But then after a few days of being sick and knowing I just didn't have it in me, I came to terms with the fact that 1076 miles for 2011 was...

Found some time to play with my kit, and I knew the moment I saw it that it was going to be a mini, just had to figure out what kind of mini.
And then with so many monthly goals, I decided this would be perfect.  But instead of using the full sheets of chipboard that came in the kit, I cut one in half. Then cut all my paper to 4 X 6 which gave me 6 on each sheet, and then added the pocket.

Luckily, as we cruised through the isles of Sam's Club for supplies for the office (which would have been exempt), and some items for home, we found them all to be from the good ol USA. Then Chelsea ran into Earth Fare while I popped into Archivers.
