This weekend I worked on simplifying some of my magazines.  Starting with my Christmas magazines.  This year I had stacks of them from last year that I didn't find until it was too close to Christmas and I couldn't use them.

 So I took that stack of magazines to Staples and had them bound together.

In case you're wondering, or still wanted to send books, there is still time.  Yesterday I started sorting through some of the books I have here and got in touch with the child life specialist at Metro to set up a date to bring them out.  We are tentatively planning on the 15th of this month.

Every Thursday is Happiness Day on Zen Habits.
I wish I had a dime for every time I heard someone making a negative comment about me, about others, about themselves. That last is really the worst. I could retire on those dimes.
The thing is, life could be so much better for many people, if they would just spot their negative thinking habits and replace them with positive ones.

Today marks 7 years since I quit smoking!  Still hard to believe when even I never saw myself quitting, but today I can't imagine ever going back to smoking!
 
Sunday was Zach's last day of winter break so the kids and I decided to head out to lunch and a movie.  There are so many movies out right now that I want to see and yet I wanted to pick something that both kids would enjoy.  We ended...

New Year's Eve 2010 was a wonderful night!  I spent the evening with family and friends eating, drinking and laughing.... lots of laughing!

 We started the evening with dinner at Corkscrew Saloon.  We had 5:30 reservations and it was so nice to just walk in and get a table.  We went around the table with everyone sharing their favorite thing that they did/happened in 2009 and their resolutions...

Wow, its 2010... sometimes hard to believe when you look back to how much has changed...  

 
This year the changes for me are going to include simplifying my life and after considering all of my options SIMPLIFY was the word that kept speaking to me.
