Running tales

April 11, 2011

Another running adventure!

This weekend Chelsea and I went to Columbus to run another race. This race was different to all the others we ran since it was a 10 mile race compared to the usual 5k or half marathon. The Columbus 10 miler, known as the Cbus 10 miler was awesome and challenging!

I love Columbus so any chance I get to go there I jump at it or run to it! The Easton mall is amazing, it's a combination of an indoor mall and an outdoor mall (like our fav Crocker Park) They have a Container Store,  a Pandora store and a Macy's that is the only one to come close to comparing to the one in New York City. I have fond memories of classes taken with Karen Russell in Columbus and oh yes now this race.

We got there in time to check out the Second Sole store and pick up our race packet and then we were off to check out the city of Gahanna... starting with the container store! By this time we were starved and started searching for who would host our pasta dinner.  We ended up at a cute restaurant called Bar Louie and enjoyed a mac and cheese dinner - I don't think I've gotten Mac and Cheese when out to dinner EVER, but knew it would help my running.

Since I just finished reading the book "The Lincoln Lawyer" I suggested the movie as it would fit into our evening.  The movie was great, tho the book was as usual much better!

After the movie we found our way back to the car and then to our hotel to get a good nights rest and be ready for our morning race.

to be continued...
