Mini treat holders

January 6, 2008

These were such a hit at Christmas.  My friend Brenda had found them at a local craft show in Michigan and we all loved them.  She had them filled with 2 Ghiradelli chocolates, which fit perfectly.

If you want to make some for your Valentines - here's some simple instructions.

You may want to use a heavier weight of paper as it gives it more support

Cut your piece 4 X 6  - score at 2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2" and 5".  Then turn your paper and score at 1/2" on each end.  Cut 1/2" X 1 1/2 out the top section and corner round. DSCN2148_thumb%5B5%5D.jpg

Cut in tabs at center (bottom) 1/2 X 1/2 on each side

Mark for your brad 1/2" from bottom and centered and cut hole for brad to fit through 1/2" at top and centered.  You may have to play with where to punch holes with your piece.  Add adhesive (I used redline) to the front bottom flaps.  Add adhesive to bottom of top flap to add your ribbon handle.  Ribbon measures 8 - 10" long

decorate outsides as desired.  Any questions?
