Learning to use your camera

January 16, 2008

Last July Trish, Jen my sister and myself took four different classes with Karen Russell in Columbus.  One of the classes was about using your camera in the creative modes.  It was an amazing class, supposed to be 3 hours with a project and ended up being over 4 hours and we didn't have time to complete the project during the class.

It was then that I learned to use my camera that I had owned for over 2 years in any other mode besides auto.  Since then I have played, mostly with aperture and most of my photos are now taken in that mode.  Unless at Christmas when I was more worried about not getting the shot - then I used AUTO.

So anyway, to my point... I was reading Jill's blog about the Photography classes over at Two Peas and thought I would check them out.

I've already done the first two and OMG, they are awesome, I already learned and took cool shots in the first two lessons!  And best part - they are free!   I can't wait to learn more.  My whole family loved the water pictures (I'll post later)

Rose you should check these out!!

Here is the12 weeks to better photos link for week one

Here is the link for week two

I also read another post about doing the ABC's in photos - so I'm going to start that one today...
