We grew up there...

Went there every summer for a few weeks staying with my grandfather in his cabin. He had remarried at the time so we were mostly cared for by my step grandmother Jean. My sister Debbie and cousin Lisa have LOTS of stories to share on all their trips to Grandpa's cabin.  Some, that looking back, were very cruel of our step grandmother. Its a good thing they find laughter in them today.

the gazebo, I do remember Grandpa building the gazebo... piece by piece he put it together.

As I peered in the window I could envision the family sitting around the long table that is still the same from when we were kids. In fact, most of the furniture and decor was the same.  Funny how they didn't change a thing? Yes, I peered in the window...lol

However I'm finding it bittersweet to recall the memories of those days at Grandpa's cabin.  Since it is no longer in our family.  My grandfather remarried and then passed away and then his 2nd wife remarried and passed away.  So the cabin ended up in a family unrelated in any way... sad, really!
