Another day at the fair

August 3, 2008

Okay... so I went back again?  But I had good reason to.  A bunch of family was going up and two of our employees and my brother in law Tony all had cars in the demolition derby.  So basically I HAD to go...

We had picked up tickets earlier in the day so we could all sit together.  We filled the two first rows and were ready to watch the demo...

Once we arrived at the fairgrounds I heard that they could not get Tony's car to start.  There were four mechanics trying to figure out why this car would not start and kept trying up until they were out of time, with no luck.  We can only figure someone else had another plan for Tony.  But the heartbreak of days of work to get ready and then that day have problems with the car?

While in the audience I got a call that our employee Mike had given up his car to let Tony go in for him and he would try and figure out what's wrong with Tony's car for another fair.

This demo was a figure 8 they had to follow and when they crossed paths was when they would crash.  Tony ended up winning first place... Wow, go figure with such a turn of events?
