My running goal for 2011 was to reach 1000 miles, and when I did, I decided I should try and make it to 1100 for 2011, but with a week left in the year and 24 miles short, I got sick. At first I was more disappointed about not being able to run than being sick. But then after a few days of being sick and knowing I just didn't have it in me, I came to terms with the fact that 1076 miles for 2011 was...

Found some time to play with my kit, and I knew the moment I saw it that it was going to be a mini, just had to figure out what kind of mini.
And then with so many monthly goals, I decided this would be perfect.  But instead of using the full sheets of chipboard that came in the kit, I cut one in half. Then cut all my paper to 4 X 6 which gave me 6 on each sheet, and then added the pocket.

Luckily, as we cruised through the isles of Sam's Club for supplies for the office (which would have been exempt), and some items for home, we found them all to be from the good ol USA. Then Chelsea ran into Earth Fare while I popped into Archivers.
Not even thinking I found a few trinkets at Archivers, go figure! And driving home it hit me that I didn't check where they were from.  I asked Chel...

30 days of no made in China...
It began with a shopping trip to Kohls to use the twenty-dollar rewards I earned just before Christmas. I started in the clothing section, and not even thinking grabbed a couple sweaters, jeans and a top to try on. Deciding one of the sweaters made the cut, I began roaming the rest of the store. Soon I came upon some cute purses, but quickly noticed the CHAPS...

I've been working on my list of goals for 2012 and thought I would try something different. Instead of coming up with specific goals for the year, I thought I would try different goals each month. Some may hang around longer than a month, but I will at least give them their 30 days due.
My running goal - the only one going the entire year is several things combined.  It is a goal to reach...

I have been going back and forth trying to decide my word for 2012.  Last years word CHALLENGE really worked out well for me.  I challenged myself throughout the year to do things out of my comfort zone and now have a great year of memories and I'm more willing to try something new!
This year I was tossing around words like Embrace, Enlighten, Educate, Trust, Belief to see which one would stick,...

With the new year around the corner, we needed to firm up our plans to reach our goal of 12 half marathons in 2012.  Trying to plan around events known and unknown for the upcoming year has been a struggle... we've chosen over 12 races to give ourselves options if life gets in the way of our plans.
A few not on the list, but still in consideration are the Disney Princess, The Nike Womens in San Francisco,...
