I picked up the grateful kit from stampin up...
I purchased two kits from Rose, a dear friend who sells stampin up

I decided to work on one of the kits a head of time to see how difficult it would be so when I had a day with Debbie, we could work on hers together.
getting the supplies together and coming up with a system to assemble was my first step
It was such an enjoyable afternoon...

I did it! I found a quiet place in the library to get lost!
It was wonderful, something I needed today and I can't help but wonder why I haven't thought of it before? Enveloped by the very thing that I love.... BOOKS. Publications of all shapes and sizes, fiction and non, information overload and yet so tranquil!
There are no noises in the library, in fact you almost feel as if you are alone except...

almost picked up my phone until reality struck again...
Grief has a funny way of doing that...four months have gone by while we have been going through the motions of life. Going about our days and filling the void in our lives with busyness. You and I were always sure to call one another every couple days, keeping in touch and sharing a laugh, I miss those talks...
    Where once light gleamed now...

Things we should practice daily, not making excuses for where we are in life. Dealing with  a few people recently reminded me of this. I sometimes wonder, what happened to people taking responsibility for their actions? Here are a few life lessons to lead you to enlightenment.

    1. No One is Perfect. The quicker this is realized the faster you can get on with being excellent.
    2. Start every...

But we want this story to turn towards that happy ending...
We need this story to start having that uphill cadence, the positive momentum that builds up all stories to their proverbial happy ending. Somehow each day seems like another struggle, another day of sameness, as we repeat the same answers to the same questions and go through the same motions trying to find an upswing in Debs progress...

Sometimes life can make us forget the little things, those things we should be grateful for everyday.
It is not about the possessions you have or the status you are trying to reach, although setting goals can help us learn all this along the way. When you truly stop and observe the world around you, there is so much beauty we just expect to be there each day, but do we really notice it?
    There...

Sometimes I can't understand this life and what we go through.  I had spent the morning thinking about my brother Joe, on August 23rd it was 11 years since his aneurysm burst. He died 25 days later in surgery, but sometimes the injustice of that and other wounds in life throw me off track.
I read the quotes, live the positive life and find the undeniable truth all around me, but sometimes after...

    Can you believe it...
Over one year ago Debbie went through brain surgery to remove a tennis ball size tumor, I know that part alone of this story should have us inspired. The medical abilities of today compared to 20 years ago are monumental, and they saved her. While there have been many miracles along the way, the path is still a daily crusade, with a long way to go.
One year later with so many...

Its all fun and games until you have to plunge into 10 feet of freezing mud water!
The warrior dash has never been on my list of "things to do", but for some reason, turning 50 this year I wanted to experience some different things, so I thought.... why not?
Well wouldn't you know it, they decided to amp things up a bit and make the obstacles tougher.... lucky me
Usually after you conquer a race...
