"Gratitude is the fairest bloom which springs from the soul"

~ Henry Ward Beecher

Theme: Chapter 3 or 12 (Slow, create, mindful)

Week: 9 Planting new ideas

Waking early promotes possibility when I cultivate the space for play, this dance of time provides compassion to my soul. Gratitude surges when we take the time to notice, nudging out the anxious thoughts with distraction. Slowly eliminating the rush of panic, I allow a new habit to bloom.

As I return to gratitude, I need to establish a rhythm that promotes new routines.  Amidst the stack of journals, a smaller notebook catches my eye as the perfect companion to record my gratitude. Grace begins when we notice the world around us, and anchor to the positive.

As a collector of words, I get lost in their meaning discovering awareness through the example they provide. In this place, I find my joy of the little things another day provides. The warmth of the sun through the windows, birds chirping in the distance, even the crisp air outdoors, offers another sign that spring is near.

Practicing gratitude continues, even in the rough spots, as I notice the good within the struggles. Define the lessons of life with an open mind, while planting the seeds for my future self and the change I wish to see.

Did you know how the months got their names?

March – The name March comes from the Latin Martius or Martius menses, after the Roman god of war, Mars. In ancient Rome, this was also the month when armed conflicts would resume after the winter months.
