Going away...

Coming up soon my dear brother in law is moving to Florida. It's a bittersweet though as we want him to do well and be successful with the opportunity he has and yet don't want him to leave all of us here in Ohio.

I guess looking on the bright side it will get us to Florida/Disney a lot more often!

Yesterday we threw a surprise going away/4th of July party in his honor. He has an amazing group of friends who came, along with some of our mutual friends and of course family who all enjoyed celebrating with us.

Chel and I spent the first part of the day decorating the yard with stars made with a cardboard template and flour. We got the idea from here

The weather could have been nicer, though I'm thankful it wasn't raining, but even the cool temps didn't keep the kids out of the pool

I ordered chicken and pizza and everyone brought a side dish, that way Joel didn't have to spend his day in front of the grill.

We did an egg toss and a bubble gum blowing contest with the kids which was hilarious to watch, and Tony being a good sport filled in to even out the kids and ended up winning both rounds with Shawn.
