52 weeks of gratitude: Week 6

52 weeks of gratitude: Week 6

Throughout life, we are crestfallen when things do not unfold the way we had planned. I have found myself daydreaming responses before they actualize. Images of the future I imagine form in my minds eye before knowing the answer.

All the possibilities that arrive when we land the new job, goal or vision we are chasing, built within the expectation of the results you seek. And when the outcome is NOT what you imagined, the answer can be crippling. Casting a shadow on your journey with a shift in plans.

But things always have a way of working out exactly as they are supposed to. And gradually, I am learning to recognize these roadblocks as detours guiding me towards a greater purpose with opportunities I had yet to consider. And the next time when disappointment returns, I will pay attention to the whispers of gratitude to navigate my path.
