52 Weeks of Gratitude - Week One

Welcome to Week 1: Body

With the start of a new year, I frame my intentions towards who I want to become. This year I am returning to daily gratitude on this journey to a better self. Reaching for the opportunities brought by the clean slate of a New Year.

When focusing on gratitude, I pen lists of details to savor, the perfect sunrise, my morning coffee, the fuzzy slippers that warm my feet and the ability to change our lives anytime we choose. Each step supporting the simple things often taken for granted.

Material things once important now fade to the back while I uncover this new way to be present. Gathering lists to awaken the abundance of being, framing the year with mindful goals that create betterment while circling back towards gratitude and recognizing the privilege that comes with a body that moves.

  • Today I celebrate my 15th-year smoke-free, a celebration of change and gratitude
  • That amazing sunrise despite the frigid temps
  • A hot cup of coffee, one of my favorite things of the morning
  • The excitement I feel when I finish my run
  • My ability and privilege in each day

Grateful for new beginnings. Whether they come from a new day, new month or new year, they are the opportunity to transform the things we seek to change with gratitude for where we are.

Here is my favorite supply of mindful books and journals

I'm so grateful for "the breath of life," especially this year with being on oxygen to help me breathe. Looking forward to the "52-week journey of gratitiude" with you, Sweetheart. Love my morning cup of coffee, too...will think of you. Love you, Bev
