So far it has been a cool summer, which leads to not too much swimming going on and our first trip to Dairy Queen in the middle of July.Though I think Shaggy got more ice cream than any of us...

 Zach and I did some shopping together and then headed over to Pizza Hut for dinner.

The August Work in Progress kit?

With just returning from a wonderful summer get away and plans for more weekend getaways, this kit stole my heart.  
Besides for being a huge fan of October Afternoon, the colors are perfect and the embellishments are some of my favorites!
My vacation pictures should be arriving any day!  Looking forward to some creative time!

My weekend was spent working on projects big and small and attending a couple graduation parties.
First off my projects, one of them being painting all our wrought iron deck furniture.  I love our furniture but it was looking pretty run down.  So after 3 1/2 cans of black satin paint it looks like I have a brand new set.  One set down...

Had a belated birthday celebration with my sister today, since we were in Hilton Head on my actual birthday.  She took me to lunch at Max and Ermas and then we had to check out Archivers,

Coming up soon my dear brother in law is moving to Florida.  It's a bittersweet though as we want him to do well and be successful with the opportunity he has and yet don't want him to leave all of us here in Ohio.

After washing and letting strawberries dry I dipped each strawberry in white chocolate and then into blue sugar that I picked up at JoAnn's.  So easy to make!
