    Sometimes life is messy...
Wait, who am I kidding? It is quite often messy, just most of us don't show that messy side. Wanting to appear polished and perfect, not revealing the ugly blemishes that are hidden beneath our scars.
Life is a constant concoction of complicated and amazing, hopelessness and joy, bereavement and growth, oh so much growth!
I read the quote in bold at Jameysons blog...

Years ago I did it and I thought how fun would it be to follow my week again...
Documenting with one, or more pictures a day to see just where life takes you on any given week. Even adding receipts from purchases show how much things really do change and where your week goes.
Here is a glimpse of a few weeks ago... What a difference from 2010 when I did this.
A Sunday with Deb in Medina Square

that voice in your head telling you that you can or cannot do something?
I have heard it many times amid running, it is a battle of determination. When I am struggling I must remind myself "I can do this"  it is amazing how my legs focus as I advance up a hill or finish that last mile. You can make a difference in your own thoughts, in your own life!
This weekend when running the Akron half...

Often I write about all the sadness in my life, caring for family and trying to find balance in my heart. But recently I have seen and been reminded by many of the good in my life.
The kids are now adults and the house is quiet, besides for the usual turmoil caused by a cat whose purpose is to wake the dog by pouncing onto him, or else its the blundering echo you discover is the dog snoring haphazardly...

    yet she cannot explain why!
She gets in the car and weeps and I am confused? What is wrong I ask, but get no answer? No explaination for the hurt she feels? She starts again with broken vocabulary, pieces that cannot be put together to form a sentence, portions of words that are made up. I continue to tell her I don't understand what you are trying to tell me and she is angry, fists thrashing her...

As a runner this was such a powerful message...
As a woman who loves running, it was a chilling reminder to be aware of my surroundings as I head out to find my happy pace!

We interpret actions of others based on our own experiences, which is how we predict what will happen around us. When your mind neglects to think like others, you expose yourself to hidden dangers.
    Not all of my runs...

    Right?
I have such a indigestible dismay of standing out in public? Never have I been one with an appetite to be the center of attention, in fact, that is why I write. Where I can conceal myself from the outside world while tapping away my thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Recently I attended a writers forum which honestly launched me beyond my comfort zone. I knew going there was a big step since...

He was always so tough on himself, expected so much from himself and I wonder if he ever realized what a truly great person he was?
My brother Joe and I mellowed into the reserved middle siblings, he, the stubborn blonde tow head and I his blonde older sister, were encompassed by two outgoing siblings, Deb, the oldest and Rob, the baby.
Joe and I were cohorts foremost, with the Fisher-Price...

My life has consisted of a constant unraveling, mostly of the things I once believed to be true...
Learning things different, learning life different, or at least a life cast in a new light, seemed to be more my style. Losing Ryan I lost every shred of the life I had learned up to that point. Never knowing of a pain that could cut so deep, or a sadness that would consume you.
    Is that what life...
