Have you ever driven down the road and a song comes on the radio and it takes you to another place, another time. Sometimes even a long ago memory sneaks up on you.
Well that's what happened to me the other day. While flipping stations on the radio I heard a songs by The Kinks and by Moody Blues, it took me back to when I was a child and we would visit my Grandmother. No my grandmother did not listen...

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when Trish invited me to join this awesome group of ladies for the WORK IN PROGRESS design team!  I cannot wait to get to know everyone and see what can be created with this group!
Now that we are getting back on schedule - with the kids back in school and fall just around the corner I can't think of a better time to get working on some scrapbooking projects!

Today was Chelsea's 1st day of her last year! She was so nervous and excited - it was fun to watch. We did our usual pictures on the front porch (which I will upload later). She's supposed to call me on her lunch break so we'll see how the first part of the day has gone?
This first quarter she starts with late arrival. So she woke up at 5:30 am and went to work out before getting ready for school,...

I always use the black heavy duty nail files to file any chipboard projects or to sand around photos added to wood photo blocks.  So easy to hold and get into tiny areas of your project.

Also Catseye inks are the best for inking edges of projects!

I have had this bug and luckily some time to go along with it to start using up some of my scrapbook kits.  From the 6 X 6 books to the mini books, you name it they are stacking up.  So I've challenged myself to pull out a project and have some fun!
Of the fun I've been having I completed a mini book for my neice's birthday party and one of our recent camping trips just by using up some of the...

I'm reading two books at a time - depending on what's going on in my day will depend on which book I pick up.  And they are both at opposite ends of the spectrum.  One is an upbeat funny book and the other is a sad, deep and depressing book.
Last night I finished THE ROAD and it brought me to tears.  The book never gave you any characters names, where they were or how they had gotten to this...

Chel and I went to work out at the rec center as soon as I dropped Zach at school.  She then went off to shower and go to work - I stayed and did some walking around the track and then headed home. I like getting that work out in first thing in the morning because I seem to make excuses as the day wears on to why I can't go if it's any later.
Then I made an unexpected trip to the dentist.  There...

I have not eaten at a McDonalds in almost 3 years.  (once I watched that supersize me movie I never went back!) I listen to Green Day's Hitchen a ride, Queen's Don't stop me now, Garth Brooks Ain't going down till the sun comes up on my Ipod while I work out. I've lost two brothers.  One born before me one born after me. My son Zach's name was picked from the movie Fern Gully because it was Ryan's...

Was a spa party!  Now how fun was that for all of us!  My plans were for Chel and I to just get a pedicure.  But once we arrived we found their were so many other choices of things to do our options quickly changed.
The girls all gathered around the salon laughing and giggling together.  There was pizza and desserts, fruit and wine and all kinds of other goodies to enjoy

    Love...
